The regime has tried for decades to destroy and supplant this ancient culture, through programs like the notorious Cultural Revolution. And it nearly succeeded.

Shen Yun, by contrast, draws inspiration and strength from China’s spiritually rich past. Its performances celebrate timeless virtues, and are imbued with a wholesomeness that’s suitable for the entire family. Shen Yun strives to preserve and revive the best of China’s cultural past.
